Night Manager - Clayton Hotel Liffey Valley
We have a fantastic new vacancy for Night Manager in the excellent Clayton Hotel Liffey Valley.
We are looking for a talented individual with experience in management within the hospitality industry.
Objective of Role:
Through the consistent delivery of the highest standards, promote a professional and positive image to all of our guests and contribute to the hotel's targets.
About the Role:
As a Night Manager, you will be responsible for the Hotel operations during the night shift which runs from 10:30 PM to 7 AM. You will manage a team of six people including an Assistant Night Manager, Night Auditor, and a team of Night Porters, ensuring that all tasks and duties are completed to the highest standards.
The main responsibilities of the Night Manager can involve:
1. Responsible for smooth and efficient operation of the hotel at night and to ensure the highest level of customer service.
2. Guest relations.
3. Overall health & safety at night including fire walks, security checks, and any other relevant health & safety duties e.g. first aid.
4. Front Office duties including running the night audit report and check-in and check-out of guests.
5. Managing the team of Night Porters and their nightly tasks.
6. Food & Beverage service at night.
7. Lead the team to achieve goals in relation to mystery audits, customer comment index, quality evaluations, and hotel standards.
8. Lead and develop the Night team, ensuring they are prepared for the next step in their career.
9. Contribute to the strategic running of the hotel.
The ideal candidate should have the following:
1. 2-3 years in a similar night or reception role.
2. Excellent knowledge of the hotel business.
3. Previous hospitality experience is essential.
4. Good computer skills and knowledge of Opera.
5. Knowledge and experience of using Brilliant electronic front office system.
6. Excellent skills in people leadership and development.
7. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to oversee & delegate work to others.
8. A warm, friendly and approachable personality when dealing with fellow staff and guests.
9. The ability to work on their own initiative, as well as being capable of working as part of a team.
Successful candidate must have the following:
1. Be eligible to work in Ireland.
2. Must be fluent in written and spoken English.
