About TASC

TASC is a Dublin-based independent think tank dedicated to tackling inequality and strengthening democracy by translating research into action. As a public education charity, we conduct research and public outreach on inequality, democracy, and climate justice in Ireland and the EU. Our work aims to enhance public understanding of economic and social policy, improve working conditions, and support a just transition to climate action.

The Role

We’re looking for a Communications & Marketing Assistant to help amplify TASC’s mission through compelling content, strategic communication, and dynamic event support. This role is ideal for a creative and detail-oriented individual passionate about social change, with strong communication and design skills.

Key Responsibilities

1. Communications & Content Creation
o Develop engaging content for TASC’s social media, website, and newsletters.
o Help craft clear, accessible messaging to enhance TASC’s public engagement.
o Collaborate with the team to ensure consistency in brand tone and messaging.
o Work with staff when communications and social media need to be integrated into project development and delivery.
2. Social Media Management
o Manage and expand TASC’s social media presence across various platforms.
o Create and schedule posts to increase audience engagement.
o Monitor trends and analytics to refine content strategies.
3. Graphic Design & Visual Content
o Design impactful materials such as infographics, reports, and digital media assets.
o Ensure visual content aligns with TASC’s brand identity and mission.
4. Event Support
o Assist in organizing and promoting conferences, workshops, and webinars.
o Develop promotional materials to maximize event attendance.
o Support event logistics and coordination.
5. Support Podcast Production
o Work with researchers to develop podcast ideas and produce podcasts.

Who We’re Looking For

Essential Qualifications & Experience

* Currently studying or holding a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design, or a related field, OR at least 3 years of experience in a relevant role.
* Proven experience in communications, marketing, or event coordination.
* Proficiency in Canva (Adobe Creative Suite experience is a plus).
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (Irish or other European languages are a bonus).
* Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects.
* A collaborative, adaptable, and proactive mindset.
* A passion for social justice and TASC’s mission.
* Advanced graphic design skills (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
* Understanding of SEO principles and web analytics tools (Google Analytics).
* Familiarity with Squarespace, Salesforce, or similar platforms.
* Experience with podcasting, video editing, or other multimedia production.
