Job Opportunity: Occupational Therapist



Job Description:


Nua Healthcare Services is a leading provider of specialized residential, respite, and day services to children and adults with diverse needs. We are currently seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team in County Cork.


This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism, attention deficit hyperactive disorder, chromosomal disorders, acquired brain injury, mental health difficulties, and behaviors that challenge.


As an Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of children and adults, providing assessment, intervention, and evaluation of treatment programs across self-care, leisure, and productive occupations.


You will work closely with interdisciplinary teams to meet the person-centered needs of service users, including Consultant Psychiatrists, Behaviour Specialists, Nurses, Clinical Psychologists, Speech and Language Therapists, Social Care Workers, and Assistance Support Workers.



Required Skills and Qualifications:



* Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized institution offering a program accredited by the World Federation of Occupational Therapists

* Registration with CORU or proof of pending registration

* Post-qualification work experience as an Occupational Therapist within disability services/mental health services

* Knowledge of individual care planning and experience contributing to individual risk assessments

* Strong leadership skills, problem-solving skills, excellent communication and team-working skills, and time management skills
