Working Hours
We operate a 37.5‑hour working week designed to support work‑life balance. Flexible start and finish times between 8 am and 6 pm are offered, provided core hours of 10 am to 4 pm are covered.
About The Role
As a Senior Electrical Engineer you will focus on quality engineering without unnecessary complexity. Based at our Athlone office you’ll contribute to a broad portfolio of commercial, residential, healthcare and hospitality projects.
Key Responsibilities
Lead electrical design on projects from concept to delivery
Collaborate closely with clients and multidisciplinary teams
Ensure high‑quality engineering solutions are developed and implemented
Support management in client relationships
Manage project costs and prepare client cost reports related to electrical installations
Work with Project Directors to establish project requirements and deliverables
Attend site meetings, carry out inspections, and review contractors’ technical submittals
Prepare detailed site reports, project status updates, and verify installations against agreed designs
Provide mentorship to junior engineers and ensure knowledge dissemination
Collaborate with other engineers and technicians for fully coordinated designs
Develop BCAR Inspection plans and monitor installation quality and project progress
Represent the company at site and technical meetings
Essential Qualifications
Degree in Electrical or Building Services Engineering
5+ years’ experience in consultancy‑based electrical design
Confidence in leading designs and supporting junior engineers
Chartered or working toward Chartered or Associate Engineer status
Strong communication skills and a collaborative, practical approach to problem‑solving
Proficient in the design of electrical systems for buildings, including AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, Amtech, and DIALux
