We are seeking an experienced IT professional to join our team. As a key member of our cloud platform team, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, supporting and improving the cloud technology stack to ensure systems security, reliability and availability.
We design, deploy and maintain advanced log analysis and monitoring systems; lead automated, agile based release management to our 24x7 online application stack; maintain and develop our ci/cd pipelines and deployment automation tools for our release processes.
We implement IaC using Terraform as well as managing more IaaS based infrastructure; We manage and support all PaaS platforms in use in our business
You must have strong infrastructure knowledge with great analysis and problem-solving skills - perhaps you've also done some scripting or automation work in a previous role or in a part time capacity?
Key Responsibilities
Resolve complex technical issues in infrastructure, applications, platforms and backoffice systems
Manage and monitor Azure cloud resources, performance, security, and costs using various tools and frameworks
Provide third line of support for issues from the front-line incident managers
Deploy software releases to our Azure based systems using a squad methodology
Be able to clearly think through, communicate and participate in the wider ITS sessions
Be part of an on-call rota as needed
Requirements
5 years' experience supporting Azure cloud infrastructure.
3+ years' experience of supporting web application technologies
At least 2 years' experience using Octopus Deploy
Excellent knowledge of Azure technologies and the Azure stack
This role requires knowledge of all of the following: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SSL, IIS, Windows Server OS
High proficiency in PowerShell & Bash
Strong IT admin skills, networking and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent verbal & written communications skills
A can-do attitude & works with minimal oversight with high standards
The ability to prioritise & work in a fast paced, high volume, agile environment.
Knowledge of Terraform
Knowledge of Hyland Alfresco and HIDP
Experience in automating and streamlining a software development lifecycle (SDLC), configuration management etc
Experience using Google Cloud Platform
Experience working in a regulated financial entity
Experience in working with agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban
