Our independent status allows creative freedom and the opportunity to make a real impact on our commercial success.The RoleWe are seeking a dynamic, digitally savvy Sales & Marketing professional to lead the hotel's commercial strategy and drive business growth. This multifaceted role spans sales, marketing, revenue management, events, and brand positioning, with a focus on increasing revenue, market share, and brand visibility.You will work closely with the General Manager and Revenue Manager, overseeing day-to-day operations across these functions and ensuring synergy to achieve and exceed business objectives. Through strategic leadership and hands-on involvement, you will position the Arklow Bay Hotel as a leading independent destination in County Wicklow.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, implement, and monitor the annual sales & marketing strategy, business plan, and budget aligned with financial objectives.Drive revenue growth through effective leadership of the sales, marketing, events, and revenue teams.Represent the hotel at local, national, and international sales activities, including events, tradeshows, FAM trips, and client presentations.Review all sales, marketing, and revenue activities regularly, assessing performance and initiating improvements.Identify and pursue new business opportunities across all market segments.Monitor market trends and competitor activity to ensure strategies remain competitive and effective.Manage relationships with external partners, including PR agencies, representation agencies, travel networks, and digital marketing partners.Oversee sales and marketing projects as required.Prepare and present regular reports on commercial performance.Essential RequirementsMinimum of 5 years' experience in a similar Sales & Marketing role within the hospitality industry.Proven expertise in the luxury hospitality market with a strong understanding of high-end sales and marketing practices.Demonstrated experience in revenue management and strategic sales & marketing planning.Excellent communication, presentation, and administrative skills with high attention to detail.Strong leadership qualities, with experience managing and motivating high-performing teams.Proactive, flexible, and willing to travel for client visits, marketplace events, and FAM trips.Excellent organisational and project management skills; able to prioritise and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to team engagement.Full, clean driving licence required.Familiarity with Hotsoft PMS is an advantage.Why Join UsAt Arklow Bay Hotel, you'll thrive in a hands-on, dynamic environment where your creativity, initiative, and leadership can directly impact the hotel's success.
