OverviewUKI Technology Consulting - Automation Tester, Senior ConsultantLocation: DublinBusiness area: UKI Technology Consulting (Digital Assurance & Software Testing)Contract type: PermanentYour responsibilitiesAs an Automation Tester in EY's Digital Assurance and Quality Engineering Team, designs and implements technological processes to automate tasks, leads with the team’s goals, and ensures delivery of high-quality outcomes.Contribute to IT project delivery using Agile Scrum / Kanban and traditional Waterfall when required.Create high-quality work products and act as a subject matter resource on one or more services to shape offerings to client problems.Understand service offerings and identify opportunities to better serve clients.Maintain focus on delivering on key priorities and dependencies.Be responsible for self-development and maintain an ongoing educational program.Actively contribute to EY’s Quality Assurance & Testing Community of practice.Build and maintain client relationships and collaborate with internal teams across service lines.Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for API applications; collaborate with developers and business analysts to understand requirements and create test plans.Execute automated tests, analyze results, identify defects, and propose improvements.Continuously improve the automation framework and testing processes; conduct code reviews to enhance test quality.Report and track defects using Azure DevOps.Qualifications and skillsThird level degree preferably in Computer Science or a related discipline.Minimum of 3 years of experience in a full-time test automation role.Experience in client-facing consulting roles with strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.Experience in Agile/DevOps and/or traditional environments.Proven experience in building and implementing test frameworks using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Eggplant or UFT.Experience using Cucumber BDD frameworks; mobile test automation using Appium.Experience in API testing and tools (e.g., Postman and OAuth 2.0).Scripting skills in C#, Java, and/or JavaScript; experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Azure DevOps) and Git.Experience with Test Management tools and understanding of Testing Standards and approaches.Understanding of cloud technologies and services (e.g., Azure DevOps Pipelines, Boards, Test Plans, Repos).Structured problem-solving, self-starter with the ability to work independently.Ideally, you will also haveProfessional QA accreditation (ISTQB Foundation, ISTQB Test Automation Engineer or similar).Experience in industries such as Power & Utilities, Financial Services, Government, Life Sciences, Consumer Goods, Technology, etc.Experience in ERP, CRM, Digital Workplace, CX, Cloud Migration and/or integrations, Data & Analytics, RPA, Emerging Tech, IoT, Blockchain.What we look forInnovative and agile mindset with a purpose-driven approach.Inclusive and able to work effectively in diverse teams.Passionate about technology, with a willingness to learn and grow.Client-focused with a strong commitment to delivering exceptional service.What Working At EY OffersCompetitive remuneration package with a comprehensive Total Rewards program, flexible working options, and benefits tailored to you.Support and coaching from engaging colleagues; opportunities to develop new skills and progress your career.Flexibility to manage your role in a way that suits you.About EYEY is a global leader in assurance, tax, transaction and advisory services, committed to building a better working world.
