Muckalee Community Project is a purpose-built facility with large bright rooms and large outdoor areas suitable for all age groups.
We are a not-for-profit organisation, and we are open 50 weeks per year 7:30am-6pm, Monday to Friday.
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Wobbler Room Practitioner to join our team.
This role is vital in providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for children aged 1 to 2 years.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and a strong ability to communicate effectively with both children and their families.
You will play a key role in supporting the development of young children, ensuring their safety and well-being while fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
Responsibilities
Create and maintain a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment for children in the Wobbler Room.
Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning through play.
Observe and assess children's development, providing feedback to parents and caregivers.
Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative approach to childcare.
Manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and hygiene practices.
Lead by example, demonstrating positive behaviour and encouraging children to develop social skills.
Maintain accurate records of children's progress and any incidents that may occur.
Work collaboratively with other staff members to create a cohesive team atmosphere.
Requirements
A qualification in Early Childhood Education or related field is preferred.
Experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development.
Patience, creativity, and adaptability in responding to the needs of individual children.
