HR Generalist (Maternity Leave Cover) This post will be aligned to the HSE pay scale of Clerical Officer Grade IV (Under the Governance of Mercy University Hospital Cork CLG.) Mercy University Hospital (MUH) are currently looking for an HR Generalist to join their dedicated Human Resources team to commence in January ****.
In this key role, you'll play an integral part in supporting the day-to-day operations of the HR function, helping to ensure everything runs smoothly and that team goals are met.

This position reports directly to the Senior HR Business Partner.
Key Responsibilities: Provide guidance to line managers and employees on HR-related queries, ensuring compliance with policies and legal requirements.
Assist with various stages of the employee life cycle, as required.
Maintain and update HRIS and employee records, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Assist with disciplinary and grievance investigations, ensuring fairness and compliance with company policies.
Support the development and review of HR policies to ensure alignment with legal and business requirements.
Continuously improve HR practices.
Support staff through organizational changes, ensuring minimal disruption.
Manage HR department administration, including documentation, filing, and correspondence, ensuring high standards and accuracy.
Maintain accurate HR system updates and generate required reports.
Stay informed on relevant HR laws and regulations to ensure compliance in all HR activities.
Assist with reporting, monitoring deadlines, and maintaining service levels across HR functions.
Essential skills experience required for this role include: 2+ Years HR Generalist experience.
Preferred Level 7 Degree in professional area i.e. HR or relevant discipline.
Working knowledge and understanding of employment legislation.
Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills.
Excellent, proven interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work effectively both within a team and independently.
Proactive, Flexible and adaptable to change in a dynamic working environment.
