OverviewOpportunity for a Health & Safety Manager to Join our Life Science team in Dublin on a 3 month Contract (Nights).ResponsibilitiesLead and manage the health and safety function on assigned projectsProvide advice and direction to project managers, engineers and supervisors on safety requirementsEnsure safety is embedded in planning, delivery and close‐out stages of the projectCompliance and Risk ManagementEnsure full compliance with relevant health and safety legislation and company proceduresLead the development and review of project safety plans, risk assessments and method statementsCarry out regular inspections, audits and incident investigations and ensure corrective actions are implementedMonitor subcontractor compliance and provide support where requiredCulture and EngagementPromote a culture of safety through visible leadership and engagement with project teamsDeliver safety briefings, toolbox talks and training sessions to staff and subcontractorsEncourage open communication on safety issues and ensure lessons learned are sharedReporting and AssurancePrepare and present regular safety reports to project and business unit leadershipMaintain accurate records of inspections, incidents, near misses and corrective actionsSupport the BU Head of Safety in ensuring consistency of reporting and performance trackingExperienceEssentialStrong knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practice in constructionProven experience in managing health and safety on large construction projectsStrong leadership and influencing skills with the ability to engage all levels of staffExcellent organisational, reporting and communication skillsAbility to identify, assess and manage risks in dynamic project environmentsDesirableExperience working with Tier 1 contractors or on complex infrastructure, life sciences or data centre projectsFamiliarity with digital tools for safety reporting and performance trackingKnowledge of occupational health and behavioural safety initiativesQualificationsEssentialNEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification in occupational health and safetyProfessional membership of IOSH or equivalent bodyDemonstrated experience in managing safety teams or site-based safety professionalsDesirablePostgraduate qualification in health and safety, risk management or related disciplineAdditional training in behavioural safety or leadership coachingExperience in environmental and sustainability aspects of project deliveryAdditional InformationCompetitive salary26 days annual leave plus additional company daysPension and benefitsUnlimited learning and development opportunitiesMuch moreOur People and Recruitment CommitmentAt Sisk Group our people are at the heart of our success.
