Our client is seeking a forward-thinking Health & Safety Manager to join the senior leadership team at a state-of-the-art Energy Recovery Facility in Dublin. This is a high-impact role ideal for someone passionate about driving cultural change, maintaining the highest standards of compliance, and leading continuous safety improvement. Key Responsibilities: Champion the overall health and safety performance of the facility, collaborating with operations and maintenance teams to embed a proactive and safety-first culture. Serve as the main point of contact with the Health and Safety Authority (HSA), ensuring full compliance and effective incident reporting. Lead comprehensive site audits, inspections, and risk assessments-identifying hazards and implementing corrective actions. Develop and deliver impactful safety initiatives, toolbox talks, and engagement campaigns to influence positive behavioural change. Manage all H&S documentation, including SOPs, RAMS, training records, and compliance registers in line with legal and company standards. Investigate incidents and near-misses with a focus on root cause analysis and actionable, time-bound resolutions. Coordinate emergency preparedness plans and drills; support fire safety measures and ensure site readiness for any critical events. Partner with senior leadership on strategic planning and continuous improvement in health and safety practices. Requirements: A qualification in a safety, engineering, or technical field-or equivalent experience in a similar industrial environment. A minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior H&S role, ideally within the energy, utilities, manufacturing, or industrial sectors. In-depth knowledge of Irish health and safety legislation, including: Safety, Health & Welfare at Work Act 2005 General Application Regulations 2007 Construction Regulations 2013 Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to confidently engage site teams and external regulators.
