Hygiene Manager

Matrix Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Hygiene Manager for our client based in County Longford who are a leading food manufacturer. This is a permanent, Monday – Friday role.
Your New Job:
As the Hygiene Manager, you will ensure the factory maintains high hygiene standards throughout all areas.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Ensure all operations meet relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations; conduct risk assessments and take corrective actions for identified hazards.
* Work with QA to maintain high-quality standards, conduct audits, and driveli>
* Lead the hygiene team to maintain top cleaning standards across all areas, ensuring compliance with cleaning schedules and procedures.
* Provide effective leadership across all shifts, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
* Identify and implement process enhancements and innovations to improve hygiene efficiency and operational performance.
* Oversee facility upkeep, pest control, maintenance issues, and manage budgets for hygiene supplies, equipment, and canteen provisions.
What are we looking for?
* Proven background in managing hygiene or cleaning operations in a food manufacturing environment.
* Ability to lead, train, and motivate teams across multiple shifts and experience in managing cleaning schedules, maintenance tasks, and budgets effectively.
* Solid understanding of health and safety legislation, risk assessment processes, and safe working practices.
* Familiarity with QA standards, audits, and maintaining compliance with regulatory and environmental requirements.
