About the Role:
The post holder will facilitate service users in their choices, developing programs within the context of a person-centered model of service delivery.
The programs may include independent living, personal development, and occupational and leisure activities, within the context of a quality-of-life model.
What We're Looking For:
* Minimum 1-year experience working in a relevant setting with experience facilitating and implementing person-centered plans.
* Experience designing, developing, and providing programs and activities to meet the needs, choices, and abilities of service users.
* Experience supporting individuals with intellectual disability, autism, mental health difficulties, physical disabilities, and non-verbal communication.
* A specific interest in services, activities, and programs catering to the needs of individuals with mental health issues/diagnosis.
* Experience maintaining focus on Health, Safety, Hygiene, and good housekeeping guidelines in a service setting.
* Experience promoting Self Advocacy with service users.
* Flexible regarding working hours to meet operational needs.
* Evening work may be required occasionally.
* Experience supporting service users achieving work opportunities is desirable.
