Summary of the BusinessThe National Treasury Management Agency (NTMA) provides asset and liability management services to the Irish Government.
It has evolved from a single function agency managing the National Debt to a manager of a complex portfolio of public assets and liabilities.
Businesses managed by the NTMA include borrowing for the Exchequer and the management of the National Debt, the State Claims Agency, the New Economy and Recovery Authority ("NewERA"), the Ireland Strategic Investment Fund, National Development Finance Agency and the NTMA Future Ireland Funds business unit with responsibility for the management of the Future Ireland Fund and Infrastructure, Climate and Nature Fund.
The NTMA also assigns staff to the National Asset Management Agency, the Strategic Banking Corporation of Ireland (SBCI) and Home Building Finance Ireland (HBFI).

• Career average Defined Benefit Pension Scheme Role Summary The NTMA Finance function provides a range of financial and transaction support services to all business areas within the NTMA.
NTMA Finance is now recruiting a Finance Officer in the Finance Operations team within NTMA Finance, reporting to the Finance Manager for a 1 year contract.
Principal Accountabilities Finance Operations Assistance with monthly billing and debtor management.
Assistance with preparation of monthly bank reconciliations.
Intercompany recharge preparation.
Administration of NTMA staff expenses including administration of NTMA credit cards.
Assistance with audits including Comptroller and Auditor General audits.
Assistance with preparation of daily and monthly management information e.g. cash management and KPI's.
Assistance with payment verification including call-backs.
Assistance with the preparation of tax returns such as VAT.
Assisting with projects including system implementation projects.
Assisting with the documentation of processes/procedures/controls as required.
Experience Finance professional with experience working in the finance area or a finance department.
Previous experience in accounts payable or finance operations would be an advantage.
Skills Strong attention to detail.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team.
Flexible and adaptable to change.
A self-starter willing to take the initiative to get results.
Knowledge Strong Microsoft Excel skills, with experience in other Microsoft Packages.
Experience with accounting or staff expenses systems would be an advantage.
Pension Abatement If an appointee has previously been employed in the Civil or Public Service and that appointee is entitled to or in receipt of a pension from the Civil or Public Service or where a Civil/Public Service pension comes into payment during the appointee's re-employment that pension will be subject to abatement in accordance with Section 52 of the Public Service Pensions (Single Scheme and other Provisions) Act 2012.
