Due to expansion, we are looking for a full time Onsite Audio Visual Support Engineer.
The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in AV and video conferencing support.
Summary
The On-Site AV Support Engineer is responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting expertise for audio-visual systems and equipment at client locations. They play a crucial role in ensuring that AV systems operate smoothly, resolving any technical issues promptly, and delivering a high-quality audio-visual experience to end-users. The On-Site AV Support Engineer interacts directly with clients and end-users, delivering exceptional customer service and technical assistance.
This role is based in one primary Dublin site, with occasional visits to a second Dublin site.

Duties & Responsibilities
· AV System Support: Provide on-site technical support for audio-visual systems, including video conferencing setups, displays, projectors, audio processors, microphones, cameras, and control systems.
· Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to AV equipment, connectivity, and functionality, either remotely or on-site.
· System Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and updates to AV systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
· End-User Training: Train end-users on how to operate AV systems effectively, including conferencing equipment, presentation tools, and control interfaces.
· Issue Resolution: Respond to service requests and trouble tickets promptly, escalating complex issues to higher-level support or engineering teams as needed.
· Documentation: Maintain detailed records of service requests, troubleshooting steps, and issue resolutions to build a knowledge base and streamline future support processes.
· Collaboration: Coordinate with the internal support team and AV installation staff to address ongoing issues and improve the overall performance of AV systems.
· Client Communication: Communicate with clients and end-users in a professional and courteous manner, keeping them informed about the status of their service requests and resolutions.
· Equipment Inventory: Assist in managing AV equipment inventory, tracking stock levels, and coordinating equipment replacements or upgrades.
· Upgrades and Enhancements: Recommend system upgrades and enhancements based on user feedback, industry trends, and technological advancements.
· Health and Safety: Adhere to safety regulations and protocols while providing on-site support to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and others.
Candidate Requirements
· Proven experience in providing technical support for audio-visual systems, preferably in an on-site capacity.
· Strong knowledge of audio-visual equipment, including troubleshooting procedures and best practices.
· Familiarity with AV control systems and programming is advantageous.
· Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think analytically in a fast-paced environment.
· Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients, end-users, and team members.
· Customer-oriented approach with a strong commitment to delivering exceptional service.
· Willingness to travel to client sites as required.
· Ability to work independently and efficiently to meet service level agreements (SLAs) and resolve technical issues promptly.
· A full (clean) driving license is not essential but advantageous.
· All candidates must speak English fluently.
Desirable
· Familiarity with Crestron, Extron and QSC technology is an advantage.
· Familiarity with Teams and Zoom room solutions is an advantage.
· Strong knowledge of IT and networks desirable
Terms
· Permanent, full time
· Hours: 37.5 hours per week Monday – Friday excluding public holidays
Salary
· 30-35k based on experience.
