Job Title: Accounts Assistant - Part time Contract - 3 months with possibility of extending Location: Kildare Town Reports to: Finance Manager Salary: €20.00 Per hour Hours: Part-time, 20 hours per week over 4 or 5 days Under the direction of the Finance Manager, the Accounts Assistant is responsible for reviewing and reconciling accounts, processing payments to external partners, and maintaining accurate records of invoices and financial transactions.
This role supports the organisation's financial operations and ensures compliance with financial regulations while contributing to the achievement of the organisation's strategic objectives.
________________________________________ Key Responsibilities: Rent Control & Lease Management: Accounts Payable & Receivable: o Process payments, match invoices, and ensure timely payments to external partners.
o Process Relevant Contracts Tax (RCT) for contractors.
o Liaise with the Revenue Commissioner regarding RCT and VAT matters.
Financial Reporting & Auditing: o Prepare semi-annual and year-end data files for accountants.
o Assist with liaising with auditors and support the Finance Manager and CEO in the external audit process.
o Maintain the fixed asset register and assist in preparing depreciation schedules.
Person Specification: o Minimum of 1 years experience in an accounting administration role.
o Previous experience with accounting software; knowledge of Big Red Cloud is an advantage.
Skills & Competencies: o Proficient in Microsoft Excel (Intermediate level) and Outlook, with strong writing skills.
o Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines.
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
o Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and take ownership of duties.
