Senior EHS Advisor
to support multiple active projects across the Kerry, Limerick, and Clare regions.
This is a high-impact, site-facing role where you'll work closely with project teams to drive best-in-class health, safety, and environmental performance while influencing a strong safety culture across complex construction environments.
The Role
As Senior EHS Advisor, you'll be a trusted expert on-site—leading audits, advising on risk reduction, supporting project delivery, and ensuring full compliance with H&S and environmental legislation. You'll also play a key role in mentoring junior team members and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out regular site audits and inspections to ensure compliance with H&S and environmental regulations
* Develop, review, and update risk assessments and method statements
* Deliver toolbox talks and safety training to site teams and subcontractors
* Investigate incidents, near-misses, and accidents, producing clear reports and corrective actions
* Support the implementation of Construction Health & Safety Plans
* Act as the main point of contact during regulatory inspections and audits
* Manage and maintain HSE documentation and reporting systems
* Support environmental and sustainability initiatives, including waste management and pollution control
* Provide guidance on safety performance improvements across multiple sites
* Line-manage Graduate EHS Advisors and student placements
* Support ISO audit preparation and sustainability/ESG activities
* Attend senior management and client-facing meetings
* Deliver HammerTech training to new and existing staff
What We're Looking For
* Strong knowledge of construction-related H&S legislation and best practice
* Experience with incident investigations, audits, and risk management
* Familiarity with ISO management systems (ISO 14001 / ISO 45001)
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence at all levels
* Highly organised, detail-oriented, and proactive in driving safety improvements
* Comfortable managing workloads across multiple live sites
Qualifications & Experience
* Level 8 qualification or higher in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related discipline
* Previous EHS experience within construction or similar high-risk environments
* NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) is an advantage
* Working knowledge of HSE management systems and compliance auditing
* A strong commitment to continuous professional development
