Job Title: Stores/Dispatch Forklift Driver
Brief Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Stores/Dispatch Forklift Driver to join our team at Arrabawn. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out forklift duties to ensure stock is picked and loaded onto lorries in accordance with picklists.
Main Responsibilities:
* Unload deliveries and ensure correct store layout, dealing with damaged pallets and bags as necessary.
* Remove damaged items from external warehouse returns and replace them with new product.
* Liaise with dispatch as appropriate to ensure seamless communication.
* Operate the pallet inverter and drive forklifts efficiently and safely, moving stock as needed.
* Complete picklists accurately and maintain a clean, uncluttered workspace.
* Empty skips and wheelie bins into the compactor and operate it to compact waste.
* Clean the yard sweeper regularly.
* Perform daily forklift safety checks and report any defects.
* Document all required information in a timely manner, adhering to BRC, traceability, customer, and HACCP requirements.
* Maintain good hygiene standards in the plant and keep all records up-to-date for traceability and hygiene purposes.
* Report health and safety incidents or concerns immediately and adhere to zoning procedures.
* Work according to the required roster system and perform other duties as directed by plant management.
Requirements:
* Leaving certificate or equivalent.
* At least 2-3 years' experience in a similar role, preferably with fork-lift driving experience.
* Fork-lift driver's license is desirable.
* Strong attention to detail and planning skills for efficient stock movement.
* General PC literacy for generating picklists, using hand-held scanners, and label printers.
* Organisational skills, including hazard analysis critical control points (HACCP) and food handling knowledge.
* High motivation, ability to work independently, and flexibility to adapt to changing situations.
* Team-worker with strong interpersonal and communication skills, willing to collaborate and share information with others.
* Fluency in English written and oral, maintaining a positive and professional attitude and work ethic.
