Senior Retail Manager – Home & Fashion
Our client is looking for a Senior Retail Manager to join their premium Home & Fashion store in Mayo. The ideal candidate will have proven senior management or operations management experience, ideally within the fashion, home, or interiors sectors.
This role also requires experience with online retail or web operations, coupled with merchandising expertise, though we are open to candidates with strong retail management experience and a genuine passion for home and interiors.
Duties of this role include:
1. Manage store performance, sales, and profitability while achieving commercial targets.
2. Lead, develop, and motivate store teams to deliver excellent customer service.
3. Ensure a consistent premium shopping experience in-store and online.
4. Work with ecommerce, operations, marketing, and buying teams to drive sales and growth.
5. Oversee merchandising, visual standards, and operational excellence.
6. Monitor performance, analyse sales data, and implement improvements to maximise results.
7. Develop and implement business strategies and sales plans to meet short- and long-term objectives.
8. Manage operational processes including stock control, fulfilment, and compliance with company policies.
9. Drive online sales initiatives, ensuring seamless integration between ecommerce and in-store operations.
10. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and customer experience.
11. Plan and manage budgets, forecasts, and KPIs for the store.
12. Support recruitment, training, and performance management of the team.
13. Ensure adherence to health, safety, and company standards across all operations.
14. Keep up to date with industry trends, competitor activity, and customer insights to inform decisions.
15. Represent the brand in-store, at events, and through customer engagement initiatives.
Skills and experience required of this Role:
16. Proven experience in senior retail or operations management, ideally within fashion, home, interiors, or lifestyle sectors.
17. Strong operations management skills, including stock control, fulfilment, process optimisation, and compliance.
18. Experience in ecommerce or online retail, integrating web and in-store performance.
19. Commercial acumen with a track record of driving sales, profitability, and business growth.
20. Experience in merchandising, visual standards, and brand presentation, ideally in a premium retail environment.
21. Ability to lead, coach, and motivate teams to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve high performance.
22. Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret sales data, customer trends, and KPIs to make informed decisions.
23. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams such as marketing, buying, and operations.
24. Passion for home, interiors, and fashion products, with an understanding of premium retail expectations.
25. Ability to identify and implement improvements to enhance store and online performance.
