The post of CMM 2 in Ultrasound has a pivotal role in service planning, co-ordinating, and managing activity and resources within the ultrasound department.
The main responsibilities are quality assurance, resource management, staffing and staff development, practice development, facilitating communication and professional / clinical leadership.
The CMM2 in Ultrasound will provide clinical expertise and support to staff working in the Maternity Services.
S/he will provide leadership in the delivery of specialised services and will ensure the Ultrasound service is part of a dynamic and growing health care facility catering for the health needs of women at all stages during pregnancy and the postnatal period in addition to gynaecological assessment.
The CMM2 will carry out the duties appropriate to an Ultra sonographer in relation to this specialised area and support and supervise staff in training.
The CMM2 will work with staff in the Ultrasound, having responsibility for the allocation, performing, referral and follow up of scans.
