Overview
Join to apply for the Deli Assistant role at Compass Group Ireland. This is a full-time position contracted to 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
As a Deli Assistant, you will help ensure the smooth running of operations with a focus on quality. Compass Group Ireland is committed to investing in its people and recognising employees who go beyond the plate.
Responsibilities
* Preparing and presenting hot and cold deli items, sandwiches, salads, and snacks.
* Setting up and maintaining the deli counter, ensuring it is clean, well-stocked, and visually appealing.
* Serving customers efficiently and with a friendly, professional manner.
* Handling individual customer requests with a can-do attitude and aiming to exceed expectations.
* Following food hygiene, allergen, and Health & Safety guidelines in line with provided training.
* Ensuring correct storage and rotation of food items and equipment.
* Assisting colleagues as required to ensure smooth running of the operation.
Ideal Candidate / Qualifications
* Positive “can do” attitude and willingness to learn.
* Good people skills and the ability to work well in a team.
* A good level of spoken English.
* Previous experience in a deli, catering, or customer service role would be an advantage, but is not essential.
