Working closely with clients, project teams, and the BIM department, the design team transforms concepts into detailed, build-ready technical designs that meet regulatory standards, client specifications, and sustainability goals. Their work underpins the technical accuracy and efficiency of our installations, ensuring seamless integration from planning through to construction.Role OverviewAs a Mechanical Engineer, you’ll play a vital role in delivering sustainable energy solutions that support the UK and Europe’s transition to low-carbon infrastructure. You’ll contribute to high-profile projects across healthcare, education, leisure, and high-rise residential sectors, helping shape greener communities through innovative design. Your responsibilities will include mechanical sizing, equipment selection, and detailed calculations, as well as conducting site surveys to ensure technical accuracy. You’ll analyse energy performance data to inform design decisions and optimise system efficiency in line with decarbonisation goals. Working closely with our fabrication team, you’ll ensure products are built to specification, and collaborate with an experienced design team using the latest AutoCAD and MEP 3D software to deliver build-ready solutions.What You'll Be DoingPreparing mechanical design drawings, calculations, plant selections, BOMs, and specifications, while developing and verifying project-specific BMS control strategies.Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, attending design meetings, and collaborating with contracts managers and commissioning teams to streamline BMS operations.Maintaining professional communication with clients, suppliers, contractors, and authorities; occasional travel to sites across the UK may be required.Additional tasks may also be assigned as needed.
