Key Responsibilities System Design & Development Design electrical systems including inverters and power distribution for BESSCreate detailed schematics, single-line diagrams, and testing documentation Conduct power system analyses and feasibility assessments Testing & Technical Integration Support factory acceptance testing (FAT) and installation of energy storage units Ensure full compliance with grid code standards and safety protocols (IEC/IEEE)Diagnose and troubleshoot system issues during commissioning and rollout Develop SOPs for assembly and product testing Liaise with utilities, grid operators, and clients regarding interconnection requirements Offer on-site technical support throughout project lifecycle Compliance & Safety Ensure all designs meet Irish and EU electrical regulatory standards Conduct safety evaluations and risk assessments for installed components Monitor evolving trends and incorporate emerging technologies Candidate Profile Required Skills & Experience Bachelors degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering or related discipline Minimum 3 years experience in power systems or BESS engineering Proficiency in electrical design software Familiarity with Irish/EU grid connection standards Strong understanding of battery components and BMS (Battery Management Systems)Demonstrated electrical troubleshooting and system analysis skills Strong communicator with collaborative mindset Desirable Qualifications Experience with solar/wind integration or microgrid solutions Chartered Engineer or Energy Storage Professional certification Understanding of demand response and energy markets Competitive salary structure with performance-based incentives Work with forward-thinking experts shaping Irelands energy future Opportunities for professional development and training
