Our client, a well-known and successful Irish retail chain, is seeking to recruit an experienced Assistant Manager to join their busy store in Galway City Centre. With continued growth plans and an exciting product offering across gifts, fashion and jewellery, this is an excellent opportunity for a customer-focused and commercially driven retail leader looking to progress their career within a vibrant retail environment.
Known for their fun culture, energetic stores and unique product range, our client is looking for a hands-on Assistant Manager who enjoys leading from the front, supporting teams and delivering an exceptional customer experience.
This role would suit an Assistant Manager or Senior Supervisor coming from a fast-paced retail environment such as fashion, non-food or grocery retail.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Store Manager in the day-to-day running of the store and overall commercial performance.
Drive sales and store KPIs through excellent customer service and strong operational standards.
Motivate, coach and develop the team to deliver high levels of performance and customer engagement.
Ensure high standards of visual merchandising and presentation are maintained throughout the store.
Take a hands-on approach within the business, supporting the team across all areas of the store.
Assist in managing stock control, back-of-house operations and store procedures.
Foster a positive and energetic working environment that encourages teamwork and accountability.
Support the Store Manager in performance management, team development and staff recognition initiatives.
Skills & Experience Required
2 years’+ experience in retail management or senior supervisory level within a fast-paced retail environment.
Experience within fashion, grocery, non-food or high-volume retail.
Strong commercial awareness with a proven ability to drive sales and KPIs.
Excellent people management and communication skills.
Hands-on leadership style with a positive and proactive approach.
Strong organisational and operational management skills.
Passion for customer service and delivering an excellent shopping experience.
Visual Merchandising experience advantageous
