Donohoe Drinks Company are seeking applications from qualified Maintenance Mechanical Fitter Engineering team at our Waterford plant. This role has an exciting opportunity to join an established energetic company in the dynamic and growing alcoholic beverages sector.
What you'll do..
* Perform electrical maintenance, fault-finding, and repairs on high-speed bottling equipment and supporting infrastructure.
* relevant SOPs, equipment validation and controls for the operation and safe running of lines and plant machinery
* Conduct routine inspections, testing, and preventative maintenance on control panels, sensors, and other electrical components.
* Respond quickly to electrical breakdowns to minimise downtime and maintain production efficiency.
* Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to support equipment upgrades and process improvements.
* Ensure all electrical work complies with health and safety standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment status
* Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machinery or electrical systems as required.
* Assist in new installations of production equipment working & training
* Co-operate and participate fully in training and development in cross-skilling, upskilling & other job-related competencies.
* Maintain the plant and its equiment in a audit ready state at all times
* Other dutices as directed by your manager
What you'll have..
* Fully qualified Electrician ( proof of certification will be required)
* Minimum 3 years' experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting; FMCG or beverage industry experience is a strong advantage.
* Experience with high-speed, automated bottling or packaging lines highly desirable but not essential
* Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical manuals
* Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
* Strong commitment to health, safety, and quality standards
This role operates Monday to Friday on a two cycle shift - 6am to 2pm and 2pm to 10pm with a 25% shift allowance.
