Pig Farm Manager Vacancy
Our organisation is seeking an experienced Pig Farm Manager to oversee the management of large-scale pig farming operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing multiple sites, ensuring the health and welfare of over 10,000 pigs, as well as coordinating daily farm tasks and supervising a team of workers.
Responsibilities include feeding, serving, and caring for the pigs, administering vaccinations, maintaining veterinary records, and moving pigs between housing units. Additionally, the Pig Farm Manager will be required to monitor and support out-farms, allocate duties to workers, order supplies, and coordinate maintenance.
Key Qualifications and Skills:
* Proven experience in pig farm management and general agriculture
* Strong leadership skills and a proactive approach to managing teams and operations
* The ability to organise and manage operations across multiple sites
* A solid understanding of animal welfare and biosecurity standards
* Willingness to work flexible hours and travel to out-farms
Benefits:
* Salary: £35,000 per annum
* Detached house included (utilities not covered)
