Your company will allow you to grow and develop in a company committed to developing talent and rewarding performance.Your new roleDesign and review of electrical system designs for a range of projectsAct as a sounding board for electrical engineers in the office, offering design direction and guidance − Peer review of designs and specifications of electrical systemsPlay an active role in developing the electrical team's technical capability.Be expected to lead projects and represent the client externally in project and technical meetings.Prepare and deliver presentations to clients and contacts on new and emerging technologies and their applicationEnsure that their quality system is implemented and maintained on all projectsSupport with business development and identifying opportunities for new work, including assistance with project bid and interview phase.What you'll need to succeedBachelor's degree in Electrical or Building Services Engineering, from an accredited institution (equivalent qualifications in a similar field may also be considered)IT literate, with good knowledge of using Microsoft Office applicationsChartered Engineer status and relevant accreditationsExcellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels across multiple disciplines, as well as familiarity with external clientsVery strong technical skills required (minimum 10 years electrical building services design experience; ideally 15+ years)Strong business acumen, with the ability to make informed decisionsKnowledge of electrical design principles, standards and codes, and design guides (including BCO)A strong understanding of various electrical systems and their applications.Well-developed problem-solving skills, and a "think outside the box" mentalityFamiliarity with the full range of design stages, from concept right through to detailed design and construction administration.A general understanding of other engineering disciplines, including electrical, public health and fire protection, is highly desirable.What you'll get in returnA competitive annual salary upwards of €90,000 + benefitsA multicultural and informal working environment where you can develop professionally by being part of a team who enjoy what they do.Company pensionEmployee assistance programCompany health insuranceHays Ireland is a trading division of Hays Specialist Recruitment (Ireland) Limited and acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
