Production Supervisor DTE Longford (onsite) DTE Manufacturing part of the Glennon Brothers Group is a leading Timber frame manufacturer in Ireland based in Longford.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Supervisor to join the Timberframe Manufacturing team.
The team consists of 2 shift managers and 6 supervisors.
Role Purpose The Supervisor is responsible for the organisation and monitoring of the team to assist them to achieve key objectives.
The Supervisor will drive performance and assess progress of his/her team by regular measurement against defined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
The Supervisor is also responsible for keeping staff well motivated and together as a cohesive working unit, encouraging and challenging the contribution of others.
They are a role model for all elements of Operations including Safety, Quality, Efficiency and Continuous improvement.
The role involves supervising a production team on a rotating days and evenings shift over 5 working days.
Key Duties Supervise a team in the successful delivery of production targets.
Support the Shift Manager in implementing and managing the quality systems and standards on site.
Maintain a safe working environment, ensuring that all H & S requirements and procedures are adhered to, including the reporting and resolution of all incidents or accidents and the correct use of specified PPE.
Ensure that all procedures relating to any aspect of manufacturing are adhered to, in line with regulatory expectations.
Ensure continual compliance with the policies relating to personnel, quality, engineering and safety.
Identify and address technical issues/opportunities which can impact upon production and quality Recommend / implement improvements to standards and foster a culture of continuous improvement in production and safety.
The Candidate Experience of timber frame manufacturing, carpentry or woodwork is desirable but not essential Proven experience in a Supervision role is essential Ability to supervise a team of people to achieve targets and deadlines Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem solving ability Excellent communications skills at all levels Fluent English language is essential Flexibility to cross cover supervisors leave across the plant.
