Job Title: Construction Cost Analyst
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Construction Cost Analyst. As a key member of the senior project team, you will be responsible for procuring subcontract packages and other critical elements of the works.
Key Responsibilities:
* ▸ Generate quantified work packages, ITTs, and budgets from technical documents.
* ▸ Analyze and present tender returns.
* ▸ Prepare and agree on subcontract documents.
* ▸ Manage commercial aspects of multiple subcontract packages from order through to final account, including monthly payments, variation, and claims management.
* ▸ Continuously monitor costs and financial entitlements on packages/projects under your control.
* ▸ Engage actively with clients, subcontractors, designers, and internal team members.
* ▸ Submit contractually compliant commercial documentation.
* ▸ Develop, submit, and agree on external valuations.
* ▸ Negotiate and agree variations, omissions, and final accounts with subcontractors and clients in a timely and professional manner.
* ▸ Regularly provide cost/value and cash flow reports.
* ▸ Proactively resolve conflicts where possible.
* ▸ Supervise and develop junior members of the commercial team.
Requirements:
* ▸ Relevant degree (typically with 5+ years' relevant experience).
* ▸ Strong technical understanding of building construction and processes.
* ▸ Familiarity with various methods of measurement.
* ▸ Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build strong business relationships.
* ▸ Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* ▸ Excellent budgeting and financial forecasting skills.
* ▸ Familiarity with Buildsoft, Cost X or similar is advantageous.
* ▸ Data Centre experience is advantageous.
