Job Title: Category Management Executive
We are seeking an accomplished Category Management Executive to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to drive commercial profitability and develop strategic plans for product growth.
About the Role:
* This position reports directly to the Head of Proteins and Powders, where you will be responsible for owning the commercial strategy and development of products within the category.
* You will set out the category strategy and business requirements necessary to deliver it, in line with overall ingredients category goals.
* Your core KPIs will be developing strategy and increasing product profitability.
Responsibilities:
1. Set out the category strategy and business requirements necessary to deliver it, in line with overall ingredients category goals.
2. Develop investment strategies and ensure correct projects and business cases are in place.
3. Drive product returns, owning product CPL contribution (cent per litre).
4. Balance budget and forecast requirements in collaboration with sales and planning functions.
5. Own S&OP for the category, developing the new opportunities pipeline to realise strategic plan execution.
6. Work closely with marketing to build the go-to-market story, linking USPs to customer/market needs.
7. Align R&D and other cross-functional colleagues to bring new products and applications to market.
8. Support pricing decisions for sales teams, long-term price forecasting, and setting minimum pricing for new or enhanced products.
The proteins category includes whey proteins (acid and sweet), WPI, lactose, and others.
Requirements:
* Strong leadership skills and business acumen.
* Proven ability in communication, collaboration, and decision making.
* Intimate knowledge of the product and understanding of markets and customers.
* Ability to lead and direct a cross-functional group of peers.
* Commercial/business development acumen and financial understanding.
* Ability to think strategically and articulate long-term vision.
