As we continue to grow and evolve, we're looking for a General Operative to join our team on a permanent contract.
About The Role
As a General Operative, you'll play a key role Support the daily upkeep and maintenance of staff properties and resort outlets, including refuse management and the transport of furniture and maintenance materials across locations.
Reporting to the Director of facilities and Facilities Manager, you'll work closely with leaders and team members across the estate to ensure the resort is maintained to a high standard and that safe working practices are consistently followed.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance across staff properties and resort outlets, including painting, room care, white-goods replacement, and minor equipment repairs.
Complete repairs and small-scale renovations such as basic plumbing, light replacements, and fixing walls, floors, or windows.
Ensure all safety and security features (e.g., smoke detectors, security systems, fire extinguishers) are functioning correctly.
Manage and transport all resort refuse bins daily using flatbed truck.
Move furniture and maintenance items between resort outlets as required.
Maintain accurate records of all maintenance work, repairs, incidents, and accidents.
Coordinate with the Director of Facilities, Facilities Manager, and external contractors to ensure efficient task completion.
Perform additional tasks or responsibilities as reasonably assigned by management.
Who You Are
We're looking for someone who is people focused with a strong work ethic & Reliability, high attention to detail with excellent teamwork and communication skills. You'll thrive in this role if you have:
Full, clean driving license.
Experience in property maintenance or a hotel environment is an advantage.
Beneficial skills: basic plumbing or carpentry.
Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and time-management abilities.
Physically fit and capable of manual handling.
Availability for weekend work.
Attention to detail with the ability to resolve issues promptly.
Flexibility to manage emergencies and last-minute tasks.
