About the Role
We are seeking a Regulatory Operations Lead to act as the bridge between regulation, operational reality and software delivery in a rapidly growing unmanned aerial systems company. You will be the operational and regulatory voice embedded in the Software Product team, ensuring digital systems are compliant, scalable and practical for real world operations.
In the short term, you will translate emerging operational concepts, aircraft and robotics capabilities, and software outputs into process assets and evidence needed for new Operational Authorisations. Over time, you will help scale flight operations through change management, document control and rostering and staffing design to enable safe and sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as the operational customer for software teams by defining workflows, edge cases and safety requirements
* Lead Operational Authorisations and translate design decisions into compliant procedures, governance and training frameworks
* Convert operational constraints into actionable software requirements and integrate verification activities early
* Implement and maintain practical change management and document control systems
* Support operational scaling through staffing, rostering and process design

* End-to-end operational authorisation pipeline in place
* Operational constraints converted into traceable product requirements with audit-ready evidence
* Scalable document control and change management systems
* Clear and actionable plans for scaling flight operations safely
Requirements
Essential
* Five to ten years plus experience in regulated aviation or unmanned aerial systems environments with experience in approvals, audits and compliance
* Proven experience developing Operational Authorisations or safety and assurance cases
* Knowledge of UAS operational risk methodologies such as SORA
* Experience translating operational realities into product requirements and verification
* Experience with change management and document control in regulated environments
* Confident self-starter with strong stakeholder management skills
* Right to work in Ireland and willingness to travel nationally as required
Desirable
* Experience with BVLOS or complex UAS operations
* Familiarity with operational control or NOC concepts
* Background in product management, systems engineering or safety-critical software environments
* Experience scaling multi-site operational teams
