Job Description
Ballinlough Refrigeration Limited, based in Ballinlough, Co. Roscommon, is currently seeking Electricians for immediate start for their facilities in Roscommon, Cork and Dublin.
Responsibilities
* To perform electrical maintenance, inspections, and repairs on refrigeration systems, compressors, motors, control panels, and related equipment.
* To diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults on refrigeration and HVAC systems.
* To carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
* To install, test, and commission new electrical components and control systems as required.
* To ensure compliance with electrical safety regulations and company standards.
* To maintain accurate maintenance records and complete work orders through the company’s maintenance management system.
* To support refrigeration engineers during maintenance and installation projects.
* To respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and participate in the on-call rota if required.
* To identify and recommend electrical system improvements to enhance energy efficiency and reliability.
* To maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with health and safety standards.
Requirements & Experience
* Fully qualified Electrician (Trade Certification or equivalent).
* Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in electrical maintenance, preferably within refrigeration, HVAC, or industrial environments.
* Strong understanding of control systems, single-phase and three-phase power, and electrical schematics.
* Knowledge of refrigeration systems and related components is highly desirable.
* Experience with PLCs, sensors, and control wiring.
* Valid Electrical Safe Pass / Working at Heights / confined space certification (as applicable).
* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

* Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
* Proactive and reliable with a commitment to high-quality work.
Remuneration & Work Location
* Annual Remuneration: €35,880.00; Pay rate €17.25 per hour.
* Work Locations: Srah, Ballinlough, Co. Roscommon; Annacarton Bridge, Glanmire, Co. Cork; Old Naas Road, Kingswood, Dublin 22.
* Number of hours per week: 40.
