Company Overview Rose Patrick Ltd is a specialist MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) estimating consultancy firm, providing expert services to clients across Ireland and internationally.Is your CV ready If so, and you are confident this is the role for you, make sure to apply asap.We bridge the disciplines of engineering and quantity surveying to deliver optimal project value in sectors including pharmaceutical, data centres, and commercial developments.Role Overview We are seeking a motivated Electrical Estimator to join our team in Castlebar, Co.Mayo.This role involves preparing accurate cost estimates and tenders for electrical installations in a variety of projects.No prior estimating experience is required; we welcome candidates with a strong electrical background and are committed to providing comprehensive training to suitable individuals transitioning from electrician roles.Experience in pharmaceutical or data centre projects would be advantageous, but it is not essential.Key Responsibilities Review and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and project requirements to prepare detailed cost estimates.Calculate material quantities, labour costs, and timelines for electrical systems.Collaborate with project teams, suppliers, and subcontractors to gather pricing and ensure competitive tenders.Assist in the preparation and submission of bids and tenders.Maintain and update cost databases to reflect current market rates.Support post-tender activities, including value engineering and cost analysis.Requirements Qualified electrician or relevant experience in electrical engineering/installations.Some background in engineering is desirable; an electrician trade qualification is highly regarded.Experience in pharmaceutical, data centre, or similar high-specification environments is beneficial but not essential.Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.Excellent communication and organisational abilities.Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with estimating software is advantageous but training will be provided.Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.What We Offer Full training and professional development for candidates from an electrician background.Opportunity to develop expertise in electrical estimating within a supportive environment.Competitive salary commensurate with experience.Benefits package including pension contributions and opportunities for fast-track career progression.Consideration for unpaid sabbatical leave after a qualifying period of service (subject to business needs and managerial approval).Centrally located office in Castlebar, Co.Mayo.
