Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Senior Occupational Therapist to join our Children's Disability Network Team in South Kildare West Wicklow on a temporary basis.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in children's disabilities will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing therapeutic interventions to support children and young people with a range of disabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive assessments of children's functional abilities and occupational performance in various settings.
Develop individualized intervention plans to enhance the child's participation in daily activities and routines.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including families and other healthcare professionals, to ensure a holistic approach to care.
Provide guidance and education to families and caregivers on strategies to support the child's development and well-being.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions, making adjustments as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records and documentation in accordance with professional standards.
Qualifications and Skills
Degree in Occupational Therapy with registration with the relevant professional body.
Extensive experience working with children with disabilities.
Strong understanding of child development and the ability to apply therapeutic techniques tailored to individual needs.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with children, families, and professionals.
Ability to work independently and manage a caseload efficiently.
Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with best practices in pediatric occupational therapy.
