The Care Staff - Resident Services role plays a vital part in enhancing the lives of our Residents.
* Supervising residents in their daily activities, ensuring their safety and the safety of others is paramount.
* Catering to the physical and emotional needs of residents with high-quality care is essential.
* Assisting in the day-to-day operations of sections, maintaining professional standards and care is crucial.
* Training residents and reporting on their progress to nursing staff and other personnel when required is necessary.
* Accompanying residents to clinics, hospitals, or centres for treatment and providing preliminary reports upon return is important.
* Implementing nursing treatment as directed and assisting with client assessment and programme implementation is key.
* Inducting new Care Staff to residents and general routine, accepting delegated responsibility for residents as directed is vital.
* Attending In-service Training Programme, lectures, Fire Prevention and Emergency Training Sessions, and implementing fire orders is mandatory.
* Observing the Code of Confidentiality, maintaining hygiene and tidiness, and undertaking training for medication administration is essential.
Candidates must demonstrate competence and professional knowledge to carry out the duties and responsibilities of this role. A QQI Level 5 (Healthcare Support) or SKILL-VEC Level 5 qualification is desirable, along with one year's experience in disability and excellent communication skills, flexibility, creativity, and professional skills are highly valued.
