Catering Officer/Supervisor
Excel Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Catering Officer / Supervisor to join a well-established healthcare facility in Dublin City. This is an excellent opportunity to take on a leadership role in a supportive, professional healthcare environment.
This is a temporary ongoing position with an immediate start available, offering daytime shifts (5 days over 7) and strong long-term career potential.
The salary for a Catering Officer is based on HSE pay scales and depending on experience and years of service – €45k+

Responsibilities for Catering Officer/Supervisor:
8. Manage and oversee daily catering operations
9. Monitor and maintain HACCP documentation and compliance
10. Supervise food production in the main kitchen
11. Oversee pantry operations across hospital wards
12. Ensure compliance with modified diets and special dietary requirements
13. Staff rostering and team supervision
14. Manage food ordering and invoicing
15. Ensure menu slips are completed accurately
16. Monitor hand hygiene and infection control standards
17. Support patient surveys and quality initiatives
18. Assist with food service as required
19. Complete administrative and reporting duties
The experience required for Catering Officer/Supervisor:
20. 2-3 years' experience in a catering management or supervisory role
21. Healthcare catering experience desirable but not essential
22. Strong knowledge of HACCP, food safety, and quality systems
23. Degree/Diploma in Hotel & Catering or recognised Chef Qualification
24. Good understanding of Food Safety Management Systems
25. Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations
26. Strong organisational and people management skills
Candidates will have knowledge of:

30. Candidates must complete Garda Vetting
