Job Title: Project Manager – Construction
Location: Cork
About the Role
Our client is seeking Project Manager to oversee a portfolio of construction projects set to commence in the coming years. These projects are primarily in the early inception stages (pre-planning), with a few already underway on-site.
Responsibilities
Stakeholder Management: Engage with and balance the interests of various stakeholders.
Design Team Oversight: Lead and coordinate the design team to ensure alignment with project goals.
Contractor Management: Oversee the appointment and supervision of main contractors.
Change Management: Handle and document changes or variations in the project scope.
Progress Reporting: Provide regular updates on project progress and budgets to head office and stakeholders.
Financial Reporting: Manage and report on project finances and budgets to ensure fiscal responsibility.
Qualifications & Experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree in a construction-related discipline.
Experience: A minimum of 7 years of post-graduate experience, with some project management responsibilities within the construction industry.
Licensing: A full, clean driving license and access to a personal vehicle are required, as the role involves managing projects across multiple sites. (Work travel expenses will be covered.)
Would suit a candidate coming from a Main Contracting, Consulting PM / Engineering / Surveying environment.
