Clinical Nurse Manager Role in Theatre
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Manager to join our team in the theatre. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in leading and delivering exceptional patient care within the surgical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinate, assess, plan, implement, and review care for patients according to best practice standards in conjunction with the CNMII.
* Provide clinical and professional leadership to the nursing team in the theatre.
* E nsure the highest standards of patient care are delivered safely and effectively.
* O versee the operational and clinical activities within the theatre, ensuring smooth workflows.
* S upport and mentor nursing staff through in-service training and professional development.
* C ordinate the orientation of new staff and provide guidance to student nurses.
* M aintain compliance with safety protocols, policies, and best practices in surgical care.
* W ork closely with the multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes and experience.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* A registered nurse/midwife on the active Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland
* Confirm annual registration with NMBI
* Postgraduate course or relevant educational course (desirable)
* Management qualification (desirable)
* 3 years post-registration experience in an acute hospital setting, in the last 5 years, with at least one year in the specialty or related area.
* Clinical, managerial, and administrative capacity to properly discharge the functions of the role.
* Experience with an Electronic Health Record (desirable)
* Preceptorship experience (desirable)
