The Role
As Financial Administrator, you’ll play a key part in managing the day-to-day financial operations of our business. From customer invoicing and supplier payments to tax compliance and grant administration, your work will directly support the financial health of the organisation.
You’ll also collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners, including the SEAI, ensuring the smooth processing of documentation and claims. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and working in a collaborative setting.
Key Responsibilities
Invoicing & Payments
* Prepare and issue a high volume of customer invoices accurately and on time
* Monitor outstanding payments and follow up to ensure timely collection
* Process and reconcile incoming payments
* Manage supplier invoices and assist with accounts payable
* Handle payment queries from customers and suppliers
Tax Compliance (RCT & VAT)
* Manage RCT processes including verification, deduction, and monthly submissions
* Ensure VAT and RCT filings are accurate and fully documented
Financial Administration
* Maintain accurate records, spreadsheets, and supporting documentation
* Assist with internal financial reporting and performance tracking
* Support the Finance Manager with bank reconciliations, month-end close, and ad hoc analysis
* Ensure all records are audit-ready and compliant with regulatory standards
SEAI Grant Administration
* Coordinate documentation and submissions for SEAI grant applications and claims
* Ensure full compliance with SEAI guidelines and reporting requirements
* Track and record grant-related expenses and payments
* Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to support grant delivery
General Support
* Contribute to the ongoing improvement of finance and administrative processes
* Provide occasional general office support as required
Essential Skills & Experience
* Previous experience in a finance, accounts, or financial admin role
* Strong working knowledge of VAT and RCT processes
* Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g. Xero)
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
* Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills
* Ability to manage high volumes of transactions and meet deadlines
Desirable
* Experience with SEAI grant applications or public funding
* Background in construction, renewable energy, or a similar sector
* Experience working in a fast-paced SME or scale-up environment
