Job Title: Environment, Health and Safety Specialist
This role plays a pivotal part in our team, delivering expert advice and support on environmental, health and safety matters across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensuring Compliance and Integrated Management Systems: The post holder will be responsible for owning and maintaining our Integrated Management System (IMS) to ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
* Risk Management: Identify high-risk activities on site and lead the development of Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
* Training and Culture Development: Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), deliver training sessions, toolbox talks and weekly safety alerts to employees and subcontractors, fostering a proactive safety culture.
* Incident and Inspection Management: Investigate incidents in line with company procedures, track corrective actions to closure, schedule and record statutory inspections.
* ISO and Continuous Improvement: Manage and maintain ISO standards, provide EHS documentation and project support as required.
Requirements:
* Degree or Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety (NEBOSH equivalent).
* 35 years' experience in an Environmental, Health and Safety role (construction/engineering preferred).
* Strong communication skills with ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, clients and subcontractors.
* Proficiency in IT, specifically SharePoint and MS Office.
* Able to work independently and as part of a team.
* Will travel to sites.
* Proven people management and coaching skills.
