The Rewind Operator is responsible for the slitting, inspection finishing and packing of printed reels to the customers specifications, whilst maintaining a high quality and finishing level throughout.
The Rewind Operator must be able to work flexible shift patterns and be willing to assist in other departments as and when the needs arise.
Educated to a good standard with a good eye for detail and a competent level of computer literacy, the Rewind Operator should also have a sound knowledge of safe working practices.
Specific duties: Responsible for ensuring customers products are produced to the defined specification / standards.
Utilising a variety of rewinding / finishing machines to achieve these standards Conducting in line quality checks of customers products and recording these within the customer job bag Utilising in house computer software to book finished materials into stock and make available for other departments Assisting with team issues when required Responsible for ensuring all of your own production is to the highest quality standards and adheres to internal guidelines and customer requirements Uphold all health and safety rules and procedures that are in place.
Analyzing quality, production and process potentials Train and coach team members in process, equipment operation and compliance.
Monitor performance and compliance to routines and standards.
Maximise work output and minimised unplanned downtime and maximise conformance to schedule.
Ensure compliance to all quality systems to prevent sub-standard products reaching the customer Maintain high standards of housekeeping and hygiene across the shop-floor Reporting of any incidents, breakdowns or delays to Department Manager in a timely manner.
