Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Transportation Operations Coordinator to join our team. This role will be responsible for coordinating transportation operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Route Planning and Optimization: Develop and plan driver routes to ensure full compliance with transport regulations. Utilize IT systems to optimize routes and reduce costs.
2. Delivery Schedule Development: Continuously improve the delivery schedule to enhance customer satisfaction and support internal stakeholders.
3. Compliance Management: Ensure fleet operations and drivers adhere to all legislative guidelines. Monitor and report on Tachograph records and driver working hours.
4. Liaison with Drivers and Carriers: Handle transportation-related queries and maintain strong communication with drivers and third-party carriers.
5. Stakeholder Communication: Act as a primary point of contact for key stakeholders, ensuring smooth transportation operations.
6. Timely Dispatch: Ensure timely dispatch of loads to meet operational deadlines.
Requirements:
* Previous experience in transportation planning or a similar role within the logistics/distribution industry.
* Strong knowledge of transportation regulations (Tachographs, drivers' hours, etc.).
* Proficiency in IT systems related to transportation planning and route optimization.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
