Our offices are less than 10 minutes from M50 with a broad range of clients both in terms of audit, non-audit, sole trader etc. and in terms of industry/sector type.General Duties and Responsibilities:Preparation of year end non-audit company accounts and working papers to review stageAbility to reconcile balance sheet items including VAT, Payroll, leases, hire purchases and fixed assetsSolid understanding of accounting principles and familiarity of posting journals onto accounting softwareAssist with the preparation of management accountsPreparation of statutory financial statements in line with agreed deadlines, ability to follow checklists, procedures and process requirementsAssist with year-end close out and year end journalsPreparation of Corporation Tax ReturnsLiaising with clients – confident in dealing with clients over the phone and through written correspondenceAssisting manager on special client assignmentsCandidate Qualities:Minimum 2 plus years general accounting practice experienceResults orientatedExcellent technical abilitiesStrong financial acumen and the ability to perform a hands-on roleExcellent communication and customer care skillsExcellent planning and organisational skillsExcellent written and spoken EnglishAbility to work on own initiativeTechnical Expertise:CCH Accounts ProductionExcel (Intermediate/Advanced preferable)Surf, Xero and Sage Line 50 (most common client accounting system)
