Overview
Talbot Hotel Carlow, part of the Talbot Collection are currently recruiting for an experienced Reception Manager to join our team. Responsibilities
* Report to the General Manager and work five days out of seven, including varying shifts and weekends.
* Manage day-to-day front desk operations to include check in/out, cash, reservations and guest queries, in line with department and hotel standards.
* Ensure correct handling and charging of all daily business accounts and that reception staff are aware of correct procedures.
* Provide exceptional friendly service to guests at all times to ensure an outstanding guest experience.
* Ensure the reception team is competently trained and that standards and performance are monitored.
* Maintain total product knowledge of the hotel, facilities, and Talbot Collection product offering.
* Work closely with all departmental managers to ensure a pleasant guest experience.
* Ensure complaints are dealt with promptly and effectively.
* Balance and ensure payments are accurate.
* Collaborate with the Revenue Manager to maximise sales, room occupancy and room rate.
Qualifications
* 2-3 years of previous reception management experience, ideally in a 4/5 star hotel.
* Friendly, welcoming attitude with a passion for customer service.
* Experience with HotSoft or equivalent PMS.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Proactive approach to selling.
