We are currently seeking a highly-motivated
Psychologist (basic grade)
to join the
Childrens Disability Network Team
based at Enable Ireland, Curraheen, Cork.
Contract Type:
Permanent
Contract Hours:
35 hours per week
Salary Scale:
€60,342 to €105,535 pro rata per annum.
Salary scales are subject to LSI's Long Service Increments.
This pay scale is subject to increases in **** in accordance with the recent WRC agreement towards enhanced pay adjustments in Section 39 organisations.
Annual Leave Entitlement:
34 days per annum
Overview of the Post
To provide a range of psychological services to children 0 – 18 years on the Early Years / School Age team and their families who attend the Children's Disability Network Team (CDNT), within an interdisciplinary framework and family-centred practice and to support other staff and students as assigned.
You will join a team of Psychologists working as part of an interdisciplinary team.
There is a strong focus on intervention within the team.
You will have access to regular clinical supervision from a Senior Psychologist.

Qualifications
The successful candidate will have:
Have a university degree or diploma (QQ1 level 8 equivalent) obtained with 1st or 2nd class honours in which Psychology was taken as a major subject and honours obtained in that subject.
Have an Irish post-graduate professional psychology qualification accredited by the Psychological Society of Ireland in Clinical, Counselling or Educational Psychology, or an equivalent qualification from another jurisdiction validated by the Department of Health.
Demonstrate competence in the care group(s) applied for.
Applicants with a clinical or counselling psychology qualification must demonstrate at least 60 days or equivalent supervised clinical placements as part of the professional qualification (or equivalently 60 days post-qualification supervised work experience as a psychologist) in the disability (child and adult), child psychology or adult psychology areas.
Applicants with an educational psychology qualification must demonstrate at least 60 days or equivalent supervised clinical placements (or post-qualification supervised work experience) in child disability or child psychology areas.
Note: combinations of supervised clinical placement experience and post-qualification supervised work experience within a single care group area to give a total of 60 days are not acceptable.
Be a member of the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI) or a member of the British Psychological Society (BPS).
Experience of working with children and/or adolescents and their families with complex needs.
Knowledge and skills in conducting diagnostic assessments in children and young people including Autism and ID.
Knowledge of HSE Progressing Disability Services Programme.
Broad knowledge of Enable Ireland Services.
Experience of working within a complex disability team.
Experience of interdisciplinary team working.
