Beech Lodge Care Facility are recruiting a Clinical Nurse Manager to lead the team at their Dementia Unit.
The role is based in Bruree in Co Limerick.
This is a full-time permanent role working a 40 hour week.
Roster is across 7 days and involves some shifts as a nurse on the floor.

Requirements
Be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland or be entitled to be so registered, and have at least three years' experience nursing older people in the last six years.
Have a minimum of two years management experience.
Have engaged in continuous professional development.
Have an in-depth knowledge of the ageing process.
Have the clinical, managerial, and administrative capacity to properly discharge the functions of the role.
Roles & Responsibilities
To ensure clinical expertise and level of competence of staff in the clinical setting.
Collaborate with staff nurses and Healthcare Assistants in preparing and implementing resident care plans, oversee compliance and report to PIC where issues arise.
Ensure good communication with the multi-disciplinary care team.
Play a central role in encouraging and maintaining a safe environment for residents, staff and visitors and report any hazards that may give rise to accidents to management.
Investigate relevant incidents/accidents, complaints and report to PIC.
Provide direction and support to the Healthcare Assistants, Physiotherapist, Activities Co-ordinator and the Head Chef.
Encourage evidence-based practice, using a care-planning approach to nursing care.
In collaboration with the PIC and other disciplines, implement and assess quality management programmes.
Collaborate with the PIC in preparing, implementing policies and procedures; report and advise on trends, problems etc. in relation to bed management.
Be responsible for the management, care and treatment of residents, ensuring an optimum standard of care.
Ensure any concerns or actions arising from shift have continuity of care.
Ensure that staff nurses complete their allocated work, update care plans, assessments etc.
Foster good working relationships between colleagues and other staff by maintaining a high professional standard.
Cooperate with policies and approved practices relating to PIC documentation of resident care plans and standard setting with a view to preparation for clinical audit and HIQA inspections.
Supervise and support nursing and caring staff in performing their duties in compliance with agreed policies and protocols.
Implement and oversee induction programme for new nursing staff members in line with Beech Lodge Care Facility policy.
Participate in the development, implementation and maintenance of a preceptorship programme for both newly qualified and newly appointed staff members.
Attend weekly management team meetings and staff meetings/training days/seminars as appropriate.
Adhere to Beech Lodge Care Facility's confidentiality policy.
Promote Beech Lodge as a care facility of excellence to prospective residents and their family members/friends.
Undertake such other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Person In Charge.
