We are seeking to appoint a Project Manager for our medtech client site in Galway. The successful candidate will receive support from our Project Management Department at our Dublin Head Office. This is a site-based role with a hybrid work arrangement.
Responsibilities
1. Support project management and execution throughout the project lifecycle, from initiation to closeout.
2. Report to the Projects Programme Manager and support a diverse portfolio of strategic projects; capable of managing small projects independently as needed.
3. Focus on safety, schedule, and budget adherence, complying with engineering practices, company policies, regulations, and codes.
4. Manage cross-functional teams delivering complex manufacturing facility and processing projects in a highly automated GMP environment.
5. Oversee financial performance of projects, including cash flow, lifecycle costs, and risk management.
6. Manage contractors/vendors, project schedules, and develop schedules.
7. Implement risk management strategies and action plans.
8. Ensure strict adherence to safety practices and monitor contractor safety compliance on site.
9. Understand Environmental Health & Safety requirements specific to a pharmaceutical plant.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree in a relevant science or engineering discipline; Level 8 qualification preferred.
2. Experience managing cross-functional teams and delivering complex manufacturing and processing projects in a GMP environment.
3. Proven ability to manage projects from initiation through to completion.
4. Experience across the full project lifecycle, including design, commissioning, qualification, and handover.
5. Knowledge of project management processes: programming, scope and design development, implementation, and closeout.
6. Excellent communication and organizational skills; ability to engage effectively at all organizational levels.
7. Track record of delivering projects on time and ensuring right-first-time documentation handover.
8. Experience working with end users on operational procedures, maintenance, and calibration plans.
9. Strong competency with CMMS systems, preferably Maximo.
10. Proficiency in MS Office tools (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
11. Understanding of GMP principles.
12. Experience with SAP and budgeting tools.
