Senior HSQE Advisor
Location: Leixlip, Co Kildare
The Role: Working for Glanua is exciting, challenging, and rewarding. As a Senior HSQE Advisor, you will support the implementation of our HSQE System and work closely with site teams to ensure project safety and risk management. Travel to sites throughout Leinster is involved.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Work as part of a team to deliver projects safely, fostering a "one team" culture.
2. Ensure adherence to Health, Safety, Environmental & Sustainability standards, policies, and procedures on-site.
3. Promote a positive HSQE culture within the team.
4. Maintain compliance with environmental, health, and safety legislation and industry standards.
5. Provide onsite HSQE presence during construction and operations, ensuring controls and mitigation measures are implemented and monitored.
6. Assist in developing site construction plans, traffic and waste management, and monitor their implementation.
7. Ensure duties of PD, PC, and Contractor are carried out.
8. Comply with internal and external EHS reporting requirements.
9. Monitor hazards through inspections/audits and report via our online system.
10. Conduct incident investigations and recommend improvements.
11. Review safety documentation from clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
12. Ensure subcontractors are aware of safety plans and requirements.
13. Update and implement safety plans based on project progress and incidents.
14. Monitor compliance of personnel and subcontractors with safety plans.
15. Report safety, health, or welfare issues to management.
16. Advise management on safety provisions and equipment.
17. Maintain site safety documentation.
18. Conduct safety inductions and briefings.
19. Perform site inspections and generate reports.
20. Liaise with external HSQE parties.
21. Ensure ISO 9001, 45001, 14001 compliance.
22. Assess and coordinate employee training needs.
23. Perform other duties as required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
1. Level 3 or higher qualification in Health and Safety.
2. Experience in a similar role preferred.
3. Extensive knowledge of safety legislation and standards.
4. Ability to influence and promote best practices.
5. Excellent communication and attention to detail.
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and new technologies.
7. Full driving license.
