Amazon Connect is a cloud-based contact center that enables engaging, dynamic, and personal customer service experiences. We are seeking a Software Development Engineer to help build the voice infrastructure and services that reshaping the contact center industry. You will engineer cutting-edge solutions for internally developed platforms handling tens of thousands of concurrent calls globally. This role offers the opportunity to solve unprecedented problems at massive scale with top talent on what we believe is the world’s most advanced telephony network.
Responsibilities
* Own code end-to-end from design to development, working closely with senior technical leaders within the team and across AWS.
* Apply a sound understanding of computer science fundamentals and practical industry experience across the stack, including modern web, SOA, NoSQL databases, AI/ML, Big Data, and related technologies.
Qualifications
* Basic Qualifications: Experience (non-internship) in professional software development; experience designing or architecting systems (design patterns, reliability, scaling); experience programming with at least one software programming language.
* Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent; experience with full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations; experience with SIP, RTP, and other VoIP concepts; experience with telecom industry problem sets (e.g., Local Number Portability, SMS, IMS/Intelligent Network design); familiarity with open-source SIP stacks and telecom software such as Kamailio, pjsip, or FreeSWITCH.
